Statement

We are the Supporters of the Adlington Greenbelt, a community-led group of residents dedicated to protecting Adlington’s countryside, preserving local heritage, and ensuring development decisions are made openly, responsibly, and democratically.

The announcement that Adlington has been removed from the government’s list of proposed new towns marks a significant and hard-fought victory for our community. This outcome is a testament to what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose and determination to protect the place they call home.

Today in Parliament, Tim Roca MP delivered a strongly worded speech during a debate on the New Towns to express his opposition and urge ministers to think again.
