It’s a Community Fun Day to mark the Community Planning Alliance Day of Action .

The countryside around Adlington has a rich history, a remarkable variety of wildlife, and a long tradition of farming that has shaped the landscape for centuries.

This weekend our campaign team took to the road, bringing the message about the proposed Adlington New Town directly to neighbouring towns and villages.

On Saturday 7th March, we’ll be taking the Adlington campaign on the road.

We’re setting off in a decorated minibus to visit surrounding towns and villages to raise awareness about the proposed development in Adlington and speak directly with local residents about what’s happening.

The proposed new town has left many in Adlington feeling excluded from decisions that will directly affect their lives. Plans have been led by organisations and individuals who are not part of this community, while local knowledge and concerns have been ignored or sidelined. This page exists to give space to the voices of residents — through their own words, stories, and videos — so they are no longer overlooked.

Today marked a historic moment for our campaign, the largest turnout we have ever seen, with over 600 people standing shoulder to shoulder in support of Adlington.

We were delighted to be featured on Silk FM yesterday, as they covered the Adlington New Town proposal and helped spread the word across Cheshire.

Local residents from Adlington appeared on GB News today to voice concerns about the government’s proposed new town development in the area.
