Protest

We have a small number of people attending as audience members on the night with some Adlington New Town related questions, but we felt it would be positive to also have a welcoming committee visible for the panel members as they arrive.

More than 500 residents and local farmers came together today in a show of unity and determination to protest against the proposed Adlington New Town development.

On Sunday 18th January we will be protesting at the Poynton Relief Road Roundabout.

Cheshire East Council has formally objected to the Government’s proposal for Adlington New Town, urging the Secretary of State for Housing, Steve Reed MP, to remove the site from consideration.

Today, Sunday 30th November 2025, more than 350 concerned residents and supporters gathered at the Poynton Relief Road roundabout in a dramatic show of opposition to the proposed development.

On Sunday 30th November we will be protesting at the Poynton Relief Road Roundabout.

On Saturday 15th November, around 200 people came together around Adlington Hall to say No to Belport and No to Adlington New Town.

On Saturday 15th November we will be protesting at Adlington Hall.

As you may know, Belport are holding discussions next Saturday at Adlington Hall.
