Developer Proposals

MP for Macclesfield Tim Roca has responded to the Adlington Park proposals today on Facebook with a video from the site. He is not convinced by the plans stating that he has significant concerns about the development.

The proposed development would permanently change this part of Adlington.

The site includes Greenbelt and productive agricultural land belonging to two working farms. This is not just empty space. It is farmland that is being used to produce food today.

The land proposed for Adlington Park is not an empty development site. It is part of an established countryside landscape that already supports wildlife and provides important connections between habitats.

The developer describes Adlington Park as “infrastructure-first”.

If that is the claim, then the infrastructure must be capable of being demonstrated, funded, secured and delivered.

Adlington Park is a proposal for approximately 1,275 new homes on Greenbelt land on the north-west edge of Adlington, Cheshire, between London Road (A523) and Mill Lane.
