Updated 6th June 2026: In the last 8 weeks an additional 22 housing applications have been added totalling 2,456 houses. 2,109 with 5 miles of Adlington.
Across Cheshire East since we started tracking, applications sufficient for ~8,100 houses have been submitted.
This interactive map confirms the pressure to build around, Adlington. Cheshire East and surrounding Councils have revised housing targets. Developers continue to submit applications, taking advantage of the absence of 5-year housing targets in Local Plans which will take years to update. Developers control the rate of build. In 24/25 c2,000 properties were added across the whole of Cheshire East County.
The map shows the location of applications added since April 2025 and those approved and still be built prior to then. This does not include any applications associated with Adlington New Town.
It also shows the total of houses which could be built within 10 miles of Adlington in Cheshire East following their 2024 ‘call for land’.
