Today marked a historic moment for our campaign, the largest turnout we have ever seen, with over 600 people standing shoulder to shoulder in support of Adlington.

We were delighted to be featured on Silk FM yesterday, as they covered the Adlington New Town proposal and helped spread the word across Cheshire.

Local residents from Adlington appeared on GB News today to voice concerns about the government’s proposed new town development in the area.

Today, the front page of the Congleton Chronicle featured the campaign to stop Adlington New Town, highlighting the issues it would cause for Congleton residents.

Macclesfield Town Council have voted this evening to join with all other local Town and Parish Councils, and Cheshire East Council in complete opposition to the development of any new town across Adlington Greenbelt

BBC Question Time came to Macclesfield today, with Adlington New Town featuring prominently in the discussion—highlighting just how important the issue is to local people.

We have a small number of people attending as audience members on the night with some Adlington New Town related questions, but we felt it would be positive to also have a welcoming committee visible for the panel members as they arrive.

More than 500 residents and local farmers came together today in a show of unity and determination to protest against the proposed Adlington New Town development.

Fresh from today’s protest at the Poynton Relief Road, one of our local bovine residents was seen browsing the aisles at the local Aldi.
