We met with Tim Roca MP this morning to discuss Adlington Park and the concerns being raised locally.
We made clear that we are firmly opposed to the proposed Adlington Park development.
Although smaller than the previous Adlington New Town proposal, the same key issues remain: greenbelt, flood risk, loss of productive farmland, lack of infrastructure, roads, water and sewage, schools, threat to wildlife and increased pressure on already stretched local health services.
We also question whether the existing infrastructure can realistically support 1,275 homes and raised concerns about developing greenbelt land when the government is pursuing a brownfield-first approach.
Tim confirmed that any constituent across the Macclesfield constituency can complete his survey and share their views.
Thanks to Tim for taking the time to sit down with us and listen to our concerns.
