Upcoming Roadshow Awareness Campaign

A bus-tour roadshow of the towns in the local area to spread the word to Stop Adlington New Town

Defender and Tractor proesting to Stop Adlington New TownBy: Gekko Media

Updated: February 21, 2026

On Saturday 7th March, we’ll be taking the Adlington campaign on the road.

We’re setting off in a decorated minibus to visit surrounding towns and villages to raise awareness about the proposed development in Adlington and speak directly with local residents about what’s happening.

This is a peaceful, positive awareness campaign, focused on engaging with the public, answering questions, and encouraging people to find out more.

Planned Stops:

  1. 09:30 – Bollington (35 mins)
  2. 10:30 – Macclesfield (55 mins)
  3. 11:45 – Prestbury (35 mins)
  4. 13:00 – Wilmslow (50 mins)
  5. 14:15 – Woodford (45 mins)
  6. 15:15 – Bramhall (40 mins)
  7. 16:15 – Poynton (45 mins)

How You Can Help

We would love volunteers to join us at any of the stops to help:

  • Hand out leaflets
  • Speak to members of the public
  • Help answer questions about Adlington
  • Walk with placards
  • Support the Supporters of the Adlington Greenbelt team

You are welcome to meet us at one specific stop, join us for several stops or support us for the entire day. Even a short amount of time makes a real difference.

Please note: unfortunately, we’re unable to provide transport as the minibus will be full of materials and equipment, so you’ll need to make your own way to the meeting point(s).

The goal is to raise awareness of the Adlington New Town proposals and explain how they could affect surrounding communities.

If you can join us at any point, please let us know.

Thank you for all your continued support.
