Congleton Chronicle Covers Campaign

Updated: February 5, 2026

Today, the front page of the Congleton Chronicle featured the campaign to stop Adlington New Town, highlighting the issues it would cause for Congleton residents.

Despite being 12 miles away, Congleton shares infrastructure and essential services with Macclesfield. The increased strain from an additional 55,000 residents will undoubtably be felt much further than the borders of Adlington.
