Adlington cow spotted today on the loose in Aldi!

Updated: January 18, 2026

Fresh from today’s protest at the Poynton Relief Road, one of our local bovine residents was seen browsing the aisles at the local Aldi.

While it gave shoppers a laugh, the message is serious. If the proposed Adlington New Town goes ahead, we face the destruction of 2,500 acres of greenbelt and the loss of multiple working dairy farms. Once this agricultural land is paved over for 20,000 houses, it is gone forever.

Today’s massive turnout shows that the community is united. We are demanding a brownfield-first approach to protect our heritage and our food security.
