How You Can Help

A gathering of sheep

Updated: January 28, 2026

Support the Save Adlington campaign against the proposed Adlington New Town. Share your photos, sign the petition, write to decision-makers, donate, and help protect Green Belt land, wildlife and local communities. Your voice and photos make a difference.

If you have ideas for things that might help, please let us know .

Complete the Survey

WE NEED YOUR INPUT FOR 2 MINUTES PLEASE.

Many of us have shared our thoughts and concerns about the proposed Adlington New Town on social media or in conversations with friends and family. However, we’ve been asked as a group to support this with some clear, tangible evidence.

To do this, we’re gathering feedback directly from our group members so we can better understand the main concerns around the Adlington New Town proposal and how it may affect people living in Adlington and the surrounding towns and villages.

We’ve put together a short survey, and your responses will help us tell us WHAT MATTERS MOST TO THE COMMUNITY. This will allow us to focus the campaign on the issues of greatest concern.

  • All responses are ANONYMOUS.
  • There are no right or wrong answers.
  • Please feel free to use options as prompts and add your own concerns.

The feedback data collected will help SOTAG represent community concerns to MPs, councils, and other decision-makers.

Take part in the survey

All responses are hugely appreciated, so please share the link with your friends, family and neighbours in the area.

Sign the Petition

The paper petition has been submitted to parliament but the online petition is still open.

Write Letters

Write to politicians to express your opposition. Rather than publish templates, we encourage people to try and write their own. Personal letters have more impact than templates as the recipients will actually read them all. Get your children to write to them as well.

We’re planning to host some letter writing workshops so look out for them.

Enjoy Adlington

There are dozens of miles of footpaths and bridleways throughout Adlington. We would encourage everyone who is able to make use of them. Find them on apps such as OS Maps and ensure you stay on the public rights of way. We love this area and think everyone should take the opportunity to enjoy it.

Share Photos and Videos

Help the campaign by sharing your photos and videos of Adlington with us. We’re particularly interested in wildlife, nature, flooding, or anything relating to the campaign itself like protests. Upload them here to help retain the original quality and let us know where and when it was taken.

Request a Banner or Placard

If you have space to put up a banner then request one! Fill in our banner request form !

Want something smaller? Then request a placard !

Support Other Organisations

We’re not alone in this fight. Other organisations are working on this as well.

  • Cheshire Wildlife Trust
  • Campaign for Rural England

Check out their work and consider supporting them.

Stay Informed

Read through our objections and see what the media are saying.

Spread the Word

Tell everyone you know what is happening and encourage them to help as well. This isn’t just a local issue, the loss of Greenbelt and farmland affects everybody.
