That means potentially more:

- Emergency care
- Outpatient services
- Diagnostic services
- Community healthcare
Existing healthcare services are already under pressure.
The question is:
Where are the extra doctors, staff and NHS resources?
Health and wellbeing-related uses mentioned within a development proposal are not the same as guaranteed and funded NHS capacity. The community needs to know how the additional healthcare demand created by 1,275 new households will be assessed and met.

Rail
An existing railway station does not automatically mean spare rail capacity.
The developer highlights the proximity of Adlington railway station as an important transport benefit.
But an existing railway station is not the same thing as unlimited capacity.
A development of 1,275 homes could generate significant additional passenger demand.
The developer should demonstrate:
- Existing passenger numbers
- Projected additional passengers
- Peak-time demand
- Available peak-time capacity
- Service assumptions
- Station capacity
- Any required improvements
- Who would pay for those improvements
- When improvements would be delivered
